Kit is a tool-request service operated by Townes M Company LLC, doing business as Townes & Co, on behalf of Moss Utilities. Field personnel request tools and equipment from their company's tool shop by text message to (833) 350-6689 or through the shop's web application, and receive text messages about the status of those requests.
Information we collect
Name and mobile phone number of field personnel (provided to the tool shop as part of their work), the content of text messages sent to the shop's number, and the details of tool requests and deliveries (items, quantities, job assignments).
How we use it
Solely to operate the tool-request service: identifying who sent a request, creating and fulfilling request tickets, sending confirmation and delivery-status messages about your own requests, and internal reporting on tool usage. We do not send marketing or promotional messages.
Text messaging
Registered foremen opt in by texting START to the Moss Tool Shop number. Message frequency varies, up to four messages per tool request: received, approved, out for delivery, and delivered. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages; reply HELP or AYUDA, or contact your tool shop for assistance. Opting out stops status messages but does not prevent you from placing requests directly with the shop.
Sharing
No mobile information will be shared with, sold to, or rented to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party. We share information only with the service providers required to operate the service (message delivery and hosting infrastructure), and with your employer's tool shop staff, who administer the service.
Retention & security
Request and message records are retained for the tool shop's operational and reporting needs. Data is stored in access-controlled systems; access is limited to authorized shop and administrative staff.
